Firearms Training

Firearms education and safety are paramount to everything we do. Genesis Academy provides Maryland-based and multi-state firearms education programs designed to promote the safe handling, lawful use, and responsible storage of firearms.

Our training serves a wide range of individuals—from parents seeking guidance on firearm safety in the home, to first-time firearm owners, to experienced shooters looking to refine and refresh their skills. Regardless of experience level, our goal is the same: to help individuals and families remain safe, informed, and prepared.

Students explore the fundamental rules of firearm safety, proper handling techniques, safe storage practices, and effective cleaning and maintenance procedures. All instruction is delivered with an emphasis on legal compliance, situational awareness, and responsible decision-making, ensuring our programs remain relevant for Maryland residents and applicable across multiple jurisdictions.

Situational Awareness

One of the most critical components of personal safety is developing a proactive safety strategy before a threat ever presents itself. Our Situational Awareness program teaches students how to recognize potential risks early, interpret environmental and behavioral cues, and make informed decisions that reduce the likelihood of confrontation.

Through practical instruction and real-world examples, students learn techniques designed to enhance awareness, improve judgment, and support avoidance as the primary goal. This course emphasizes prevention, positioning, and decision-making—empowering individuals to navigate everyday environments with greater confidence and control.
